# Wedtide > Wedtide is a free wedding seating chart maker that runs in the browser, with no account. Paste a guest list (from a note, a spreadsheet, or a Zola, The Knot or Joy export), say who must sit apart or together, and it seats everyone at the right number of tables, keeping couples and families together. Couples can then drag guests between tables, walk the venue in 3D, print the plan, and give guests a link or a QR sign that shows each guest their seat and who they sit with. The couple's plan is saved on their own device and never sent to a server. Share links carry the plan inside the URL fragment (after the #), which browsers do not send to servers. English and Spanish. ## Use it - [Wedtide](https://wedtide.app/): the app. Start from a guest list or try a sample wedding. - Open a plan from a link: `https://wedtide.app/?plan#` opens a seating plan as the couple's own, editable plan. Links of this form come from the MCP tool below. - Seat finder: `https://wedtide.app/?find#` is the read-only page guests open to type their name and see their table. ## For AI assistants (MCP) - MCP endpoint: `https://wedtide.app/api/mcp` (Streamable HTTP, stateless, JSON-RPC 2.0, no authentication; protocol versions 2025-06-18, 2025-03-26, 2024-11-05). - [Server card](https://wedtide.app/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json) - Tool `create_seating_plan`: input a guest list as text or CSV, optional seats_per_table (default 10), rules ({a, b, kind: "apart" or "together"} by guest name), couple, setting (ballroom, vineyard, garden, beach). Returns who sits at each table, anything that could not be satisfied, a plan_url that opens the editable plan in Wedtide, and a finder_url for guests. - Tool `seating_tips`: concise wedding seating etiquette (head table or sweetheart table, divorced parents, kids tables, plus-ones), with optional notes for some traditions. ## Guides - [How to make a wedding seating chart (step by step)](https://wedtide.app/guides/wedding-seating-chart/): when to start, grouping by party, counting tables, hard rules first.
